Seganing Waterfall, renowned as one of Bali’s best-kept secrets, has an unrivaled natural beauty. Its natural beauty captivates the hearts of explorers seeking a one-of-a-kind trip. Are you intrigued by the natural splendor hidden behind the thick woods and the roar of this waterfall? Let us begin discovering the natural wonders of this magnificent Seganing!
How to Get to Seganing Waterfall
Before we find out the beauty of this waterfall, we certainly want to know where it is located. The road to get there is pretty good now. Most of the roads are the same as the road to Tembeling. It’s only a 10-minute drive to get from one place to the other.
From Toyapakeh, take the Crystal Bay direction but turn left towards Kelingking Beach at the first big intersection with a small temple in the middle. After a few kilometers take the second right turn (not the first one towards Broken Beach, the road is worse). It is a 40-minute drive. If you get lost you can ask the locals but they call it Sebuluh Waterfall. But it is better to use Google Maps when you have wifi in your hotel, type in Seganing Waterfall, and then follow the indications offline.
Based on the latest information we got, you will be charged Rp 10,000 for parking, so bring some cash.
Seganing Waterfall Exploration
Seganing Waterfall stands as a gem within Nusa Penida, offering picturesque scenery that captures the heart. The adventurous souls are enticed by the thrill of navigating a challenging, scarcely maintained path along the cliff’s edge. It’s an experience filled with excitement and genuine adventure in Nusa Penida!
However, those expecting a colossal, thunderous waterfall might be surprised. Like several other waterfalls in Nusa Penida, Seganing Waterfall boasts a modest size. Yet, its charm lies in the serene beauty it offers—a tranquil natural pool awaits, serving as a delightful reward for your journey.
The hike to Seganing Waterfall takes roughly twenty minutes along a narrow path carved into the cliff. While there’s a rudimentary bamboo fence for safety, the descent remains notably dramatic. However, in my opinion, another location further south, Guyangan Waterfall, is more enticing. Guyangan has comparable qualities but has easier stair access and more beautiful natural pools, making for a more enjoyable trip.
The distinctive rocky terrain through which Seganing flows adds to its exotic charm. To make the most of your visit, it’s advisable to choose the dry season. During the rainy season, the wooden stairs, serving as the main path, tend to become extremely slippery, increasing the risk of accidents.
Seganing Waterfall is a paradise for adventure enthusiasts. This spot boasts springs and small ponds nestled within its premises. Visitors can relish the sight of waves crashing against the reef from the springs.
