Pererenan Beach - Bali, Indonesia
If you’re seeking for an island getaway that’s close to the excitement but still feels authentically Balinese, the laid-back town of Pererenan Beach might be the ideal alternative. The region is popular with expats and many of the villas are long term rentals. It is located between trendy Canggu and tranquil Seseh. It’s easy to see why someone would pick this gorgeous place as a home base after exploring its rice fields, black sand beaches, and Balinese temples.
Tour and Activities to do around Pererenan Beach
Pererenan is distinguished by rolling green rice fields and a long beach of dark sand that owes its distinct color to the island’s volcanic activity. You may walk down the beach to Canggu’s famed Echo Beach, where you’ll find stylish restaurants and beach clubs. Pererenan Beach is better suited for intermediate to experienced surfers than for beginners wishing to get their feet wet.
Though Pererenan Beach Bali is ideal for undisturbed rest and rehabilitation, it also provides excellent opportunities for local tourism and adventure. You may easily visit nearby Canggu, which is a short walk down the beach or a 10-15-minute drive away. Canggu has a wide range of restaurants, spas, boutiques, and renowned beachside venues. Driving in the opposite direction, the famed beach temple of Tanah Lot is just 10 kilometers away and offers especially magnificent sunset views – just be prepared for crowds.
Recreation, Restaurants and Nightlife
There are a few laid-back eateries in Pererenan, and given how the area (particularly neighboring Canggu) is expanding, more ones are certain to come up on a regular basis. For the time being, there won’t be an unending supply of eateries along the streets, but rather a few wonderful cafes and local warungs surrounded by rice fields. Pererenan’s cuisine focuses on trendy Western food, generally with a healthy twist (think smoothie bowls and “clean” eating), and local food served in laid-back warungs. I could assure you that these cafes and warung will be selling foods way cheaper than what you’ll find in canggu, so if youre travelling on a budget these places might be the destination you want to visit.

In terms of nightlife, pererenan does not offer much but you could always drive down to Canggu which is just a couple of minutes away. This might be an ideal plan for someone who’s looking for a vibrant nightlife but would love to relax and enjoy Bali after.
Location on the Map and How to get there
Pererenan is located on Bali’s southwest coast, between the popular surf town of Canggu and the tranquil Seseh region. Driving up the coast from Pererenan and via Seseh, you’ll arrive in the lush Tabanan regency, home to the breathtaking Tanah Lot temple and the UNESCO-protected Jatiluwih rice farms.
Traveling south from Canggu, you’ll pass through peaceful Batubelig (or take a diversion through Umalas’ rice paddies and villas) before landing in the famous Seminyak neighborhood. Overall, Pererenan provides the best of both worlds: a calm environment with a Bali atmosphere while remaining near to the action.
Pererenan Beach Bali is ideal for sunbathing if you wish to brown your skin for an exotic appearance. You can also play in the sea or soft sand, swim on the beach, ride horses, cycle, or play in the sand.
Remember to carry a camera or use your smartphone camera to capture every lovely moment in Pererenan.
Because Pererenan Beach has pretty high waves, many people surf there. The dry season is the best time to surf on this beach because the sea waves are pretty strong. So that surfers can act freely on the surfboard.
