Garuda Wisnu Kencana Statue
Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park is known as a tourist park located in the south of the island of Bali. The history of the Garuda Wisnu Kencana GWK Bali is an interesting thing to explore. Here you will be shown the mascot from Bali, which is a giant statue of the god Vishnu and his Garuda bird.
Garuda Wisnu Kencana is the work of a local sculptor named I Nyoman Nuarta. A statue in the form of Lord Vishnu (God of Preservation) who is riding a Garuda which tells of the devotion and sacrifice of the Garuda bird in order to save his mother from slavery and ends up being protected by the god Vishnu.
The statue was deliberately made to tie this layout to a distance of 20 km, so this statue can still be seen from Tanah Lot, Nusa Dua, Kuta and Sanur. Apart from being the mascot of Bali and Indonesia, this statue is a symbol of saving the world’s environment.

LOTUS POND
Lotus Pond, grand and beautiful, is one of the key sites in GWK Cultural Park. The large plaza is surrounded by limestone walls and is topped by a statue of Garuda. This location is easily accessible, has excellent acoustics, and can accommodate up to 7,500 people, making it a popular choice for concerts and world-class events.
The lotus, which represents beauty, prosperity, and fertility and is constantly held in Wisnu’s hand, inspired the plaza’s name. The lotus flower has roots in the mud, but it blooms into a stunning flower above, serving as a rich emblem of humanity and the cosmos.
PLAZA GARUDA
This gorgeous plaza overlooks the majestic Lotus Pond and is a popular location for pre-wedding portraits and smaller celebrations. It is presided over by an enormous statue of Garuda.
Garuda, the personal mount of Hindu God Wisnu, denotes loyalty, trustworthiness, and sacrifice. The Garuda, Indonesia’s national symbol, embodies the ideal qualities of bravery, wisdom, strength, and discipline actions.
PLAZA WISNU
Wisnu plaza, located on a hilltop, provides a spectacular view of the island and is ideal for watching the sunset.
A sacred well known as Parahyangan Somaka Giri may be found within the plaza, nestled amid a leafy grove. Historically, the well is thought to be endowed with magical healing power, and local Balinese attend to give offerings and seek a cure for their afflictions.
