This stunning seasonal waterfall, with its water pouring down a stepped rick construction, is a sight to behold.
This waterfall, which is located in the town of Beng Gianyar, is also quite easy to reach. Unlike other waterfalls, you won’t have to travel for miles and miles to get to this one.
You will be at the waterfall location in 15 minutes. Kanto Lampo’s uniqueness stems from the fact that it is set in a location that is a little off the beaten path.
This waterfall, unlike other waterfalls in the Bali area, has a brand-new supply of water and a dam. The construction of a new waterfall turned out to be beneficial to the local residents. As more people travel to see this waterfall, the locals’ profits improve.
If you’re a photographer, you can scale the cliffs at the top of the waterfall for some Instagram-worthy shots.

Kanto Lampo Waterfall Address & Directions
The Kanto Lampo Waterfall is located in the Kelod Kangin hamlet of Gianyar’s Beng town. The travel from Denpasar Ngurah Rai International Airport takes about 1 to 1.5 hours.
It takes less than an hour to get there from Ubud. The waterfall is easily accessible from town, and the terrain is gentle enough for even inexperienced hikers.
There are several options available. You can arrive to the Kanto Lampo Waterfall on your own scooter, in a car with a chauffeur, in a taxi, or on a pre-arranged Bali tour.
As previously mentioned, Kanto Lampo waterfall is located in the province of Gianyar and is around a half-hour drive from Ubud and a short distance from Tibumana waterfall.
A cab ride from Ubud should cost roughly 300,000 IDR round trip, or 600,000 IDR for a day trip to see the other sights in the area.
For about 80,000 IDR, you can rent a scooter/bike and operate it yourself.
Expect to spend at least an hour driving to Kanto Lampo waterfall from Kuta or Seminyak.
Taxis from Kuta or Seminyak are likely to be more expensive, and because it’s further away, we’d only recommend traveling there if you plan to rent a car for the day and see other locations.
What to Expect
It’s a short walk to the waterfall once you’ve parked. Simply take the stairwell all the way down, which should take no more than 5-10 minutes.
The entire walk that leads to the fall is breathtaking, with vines creeping down the cliffs, the sound of water crashing in the background, and vivid butterflies buzzing about you. It’s fantastic.
When you reach the waterfall, you must enter the water to obtain the best view. You can dry your personal goods by leaving them on the rocks near the waterfall.
Kanto Lampo Waterfall Entrance Fee
The Kanto Lampo Waterfall, which is considered a traveler’s destination place, has an entry fee.
Tickets can be purchased at the ticket desk in the parking area in front of the waterfall doorway for 10,000 Rupiah (IDR) per person.
As previously stated, the waterfall is easily accessible by descending a short flight of stairs into a pleasant shallow river canyon surrounded by jungle trees and overhanging vines.
The waterfall’s expected location, a stack of flat rough rocks, is unusually near the river’s side, not along the river’s flow, and appears to have been generated by a landslide.
Best time to go
The best time to see the Kanto Lampo Waterfall is between April and September, when the weather is dry.
During the monsoon season, the water levels remain high, although the increased water levels may make it difficult to access the waterfall. And, in terms of timing, it’s best to go during the day.
5 Tips For Kanto Lampo Waterfall
Because Kanto Lampo isn’t as well-known as other locations, there are a few things you should know before you go:
1. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit.
You’ll need to join the river to get the finest view of Kanto Lampo, so bring your swimwear! On the magnificent rocks at the base of the waterfall, this will double as a terrific photo opportunity.
2. Take precautions
If you climb atop the rocks, be careful and take your time because they can be rather slippery. It’s a beautiful spot for a photo, but it’s not worth being wounded over!
3. Shoes
For traveling to the waterfall itself, any shoe will suffice. Climbing up onto the rocks is easier if you go barefoot or bring water shoes.
4. Gratuities
Residents in the area are available to assist you with everything you need, whether it’s getting down to the falls or snapping photos. If a local assists you by shooting photographs, it is customary etiquette to compensate them with a small sum of money; nevertheless, tips are not required.
5. Geographical maps
Maps are required because this isn’t one of the most well-known waterfalls in the area. Not all taxi drivers will be familiar with this route.
