Sangeh Monkey Forest is a popular place that is very sanctified for Balinese people, which is the habitat for hundreds of monkeys which are popularly called Sangeh. Sangeh is located in Sangeh Village, precisely on Brahmana Street, Abiansemal District, Badung Regency. There are temples that are very sacred to Hindus, namely Pura Melanting and Pura Bukit Sari and there are hundreds of long tailed monkeys that have funny behavior and can be said to be quite tame, with at least 600 long tailed ash monkeys. And for Fauna, besides monkeys, there are 22 other types of animals such as eagles, owls, shuffles, weasels, black cats, sendanglawe to kestrel.
It is believed that the monkeys in the Sangeh monkey forest are the incarnation of female warriors who have formed their own colonies and have leaders who are divided into 3 Banjar groups, namely the eastern, central and western parts. And what is unique is that from time to time there is competition among male apes to fight to become rulers. To fight for power, the winning group or the strongest group will usually occupy the area of the banjar Tengah which stores a lot of food.
