Dreamland Beach (Pantai Dreamland) is one of many magnificent beaches along the Bukit Peninsula’s rough shoreline in South Bali.
This is a valuable traveler place with limestone cliffs, golden dunes, and blue-green waters that should not be overlooked when visiting Uluwatu.
We’ve put together a whole beach guide for guests, including directions, the best time to visit, things to do, and much more!
Dreamland Beach
Despite widespread development over its limestone landscape, Dreamland Beach retains much of its rugged beauty on the sand, particularly for surfers, day-trippers, and beachgoers who enjoy a few of Bali’s best reef breaks near the coast and close paddle outs to neighboring first-rate reef breaks, such as Balangan to the north and Impossibles to the south.
Dreamland Beach is known for its exquisite homes, hotels, and rental properties, as well as a top-notch golf course (the brand-new Kuta Golf), water fun games, and more. The advantages of this beach are the powerful and massive waves, which make it one of the most popular surfing spots on Bali Island for beginners to advanced surfers.
Where is Dreamland Beach?
Dreamland Beach Bali is located in Unggasan Village, South Kuta District, in Uluwatu, South Bali, near the western shoreline of the Bukit Peninsula.
It’s almost halfway between two other extremely popular beaches, Balangan Beach and Bingin Beach.
Dreamland Bali Beach used to be difficult to reach, but because to the development of Dreamland Beach Resort, the access route is now easily accessible to all truckers and is only 20 minutes from Denpasar International Airport.
If you plan on staying in Uluwatu, I recommend renting a scooter and taking the short 15-minute drive to Dreamland.
It’ll take you about an hour to 1.5 hours to get here if you’re coming from Kuta, Seminyak, or Canggu.
Do you have a hard time riding a scooter? Another wonderful option for getting around Bali is to hire a personal car and truck with a driver for the day and see everything the island has to offer.
Best Time to Visit Dreamland Beach Bali
This beach may be visited all year due to Bali’s tropical warm climate. The months of April through June are typically the ones with the least amount of rain, making them the nicest but also the busiest period to visit.
The best time to visit is between early and mid-morning, once the sun has risen and reached this side of the Bukit Peninsula.
During the middle of the day and early afternoon, it is busiest. It can be difficult to find a nice spot along the beach to settle in some circumstances because it gets quite crowded, so keep this in mind when planning your trip.
You might also consider visiting in the late afternoon during sunset hours, when the majority of the day-trippers will have dispersed. Because of its west-facing location, it’s one of the best places in South Bali to watch the sun set.
You will not be disappointed by all that Bali Dreamland Beach and the surrounding area have to offer, regardless of what you came for. This Full-Day Uluwatu Tour includes a hotel pick-up and drop-off, as well as visits to Pandawa Beach, Melasti Beach, Padang Padang, Uluwatu Temple, Kecak Fire Dance, and a seafood supper on Jimbaran Beach.
Things to do at Dreamland Beach
Dreamland is one of the most well-known surf spots on the south coast, so it’s only logical that one of the best things to do here is go surfing.
The waves at Dreamland are fun and suitable for all levels on the majority of days. Fast lefts and brief rights can be found on a short paddle out to the beach break, which are best enjoyed at low tide. On smaller days, it’s a fun wave for beginners to intermediate surfers, but during larger swells, advanced to professional surfers can be seen catching barrels. The beach, as its name suggests, is an ideal location that is not only great for surfing but also for relaxing, sunning, and enjoying refreshing dives in the pure blue ocean. The area surrounding the beach is known for the New Kuta Beach Golf Course and is flanked with high-end resorts.
There are several restaurants and bars all along the beach where you can get a bite to eat in between surf sessions or relax with a mixed drink while watching the beautiful sunsets that Bali is known for.
Pantai Dreamland provides everything you need to unwind and get a fantastic tan in the Bali sun, whether you’re coming for a day full of adventures and plan to surf until your arms fall off, or if you simply want to unwind and get a wonderful tan in the Bali sun.
